Estill County officials say test results show air is safe
Estill County leaders have released more air test results after naturally occurring radioactive waste was illegally dumped at a landfill last year.
County leaders say they hired a company to sample air in 15 locations across the county. Including around the landfill and at a nearby school.
Their report released Thursday said that all final tests results showed the amount of any naturally occurring material found in the air was less than the amount allowed by federal law.
City leaders say the air is safe to breathe.
