LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Students at Yates Elementary in Lexington got a visit from Fazoli’s on Wednesday for lunch, but the Lexington-based chain brought something even better than pasta.
Fazoli's teamed up with non-profit Feed the Children to donate 1,500 books to the school.
The company's CEO even took time out to read to the entire school.
Yates Elementary principal, Twanjua Jones, says it's a day the students will remember.
"I think what they will remember most about this day is that a community partner came in and thought enough of us to provide us with something they can take into the future, an experience they will never forget."
Wednesday's event is part of Fazoli's 30th anniversary celebration.
