FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - While Frankfort police try to figure out who is responsible for a double murder on Alexander Street, families of the young men who died continue grieving.
Hannah Gould is still numb from the hearing the worst news of her life. She was engaged to marry 22-year-old Jared Moore who was shot and killed in his home Tuesday.
Police say they responded to a possible robbery just before 6 p.m. when they found the two victims inside a home with gunshot wounds.
“3 million things we're running through my mind like it's not real to me right now. Just doesn't seem real, like it's going to be a dream and I'll wake up and he'll come back maybe,” Gould said.
Hannah says Jared was a hard worker who enjoyed his job at a local distillery while serving in the National Guard.
Her father, John Gould, is also devastated by the loss.
“We were looking forward to grandkids and our daughter having her husband and those have all been kind of taken away at this point,” John Gould said.
The Goulds hope someone comes forward with a tip that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible, as they remember Jared and hope for justice.
24-year-old Dustin Johnson was also killed in the shooting.
Police are still asking the public for information that might help them solve the case.
