FLOYD CO., Ky. (WKYT) - A video of a fight between two Prestonsburg High School students is gaining attention on social media.

WKYT is not sharing the video because both students involved are juveniles.

The superintendent of Floyd County Schools released a statement about the fight.

Superintendent Steven Trimble released the following:

“As some of you are aware, there was a student on student altercation at Prestonsburg High School today. Law enforcement was notified and promptly responded. The administration of Prestonsburg High School in concert with the Floyd County Schools District Central Office is handling the situation according to school district policies. A full and complete investigation will occur, and those involved will be held accountable according to local policy and KY State Law.

"Let me be clear, behavior such as this will not be tolerated in the Floyd County School System. The safety of all students is and will remain our utmost priority.”

We called Prestonsburg police and know they are involved, but they couldn't release any information because both students are juveniles.
