Fire breaks out in vacant apartment builiding

An empty apartment building caught fire Saturday night in Lexington, causing a neighboring apartment to be temporarily evacuated.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Oxford Circle across the street from Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital.

Firefighters say when they arrived the building was filled with smoke, and it looked like the fire had burned itself out.

Firefighters say no one was injured, and the people who were evacuated would be able to return to their home before midnight.

The cause of the fire Is still under investigation.
