Firefighters investigating explosion in Lexington garage

Lexington firefighters are trying to determine what caused an explosion inside a family's garage.

It happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Our Tibbs trail near Sandersville Elementary.

Firefighters say a family heard a noise before finding a small fire in their garage.

Crews say they had to bust through the garage door to make their way inside and put out the flames.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
