DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A two-time state championship-winning football head coach at Danville High School is facing multiple sodomy charges from when he was the head coach in the early 1980s.

A grand jury indicted Thomas Duffy, 69, on four felony sodomy counts in Boyle Circuit Court last Tuesday.

The grand jury states Duffy "engaged in deviate sexual intercourse" with a minor under 16 in all four counts. The crimes took place between 1982 and 1983. The indictment said Duffy lives in Lexington.

Duffy was arrested and has since been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association says Duffy was the head coach at Danville High School from 1980-1987 and won state titles in 1984 and 1987.
