Franklin Co. KFC worker infected with hepatitis A virus

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Another case of hepatitis A is being reported in Franklin County.

The Franklin County Health Department says an employee at KFC on US 127 tested positive for the virus.

Officials said the employee worked while ill from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25.

While it's rare for customers to become infected with hepatitis A through a food worker, the health department is encouraging anyone who visited KFC during the three-day span to get a hepatitis A vaccine.
