Free meals, specials offered to active, retired military on Veterans Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - To show appreciation for veterans, several restaurants around Lexington are offering specials for free food items and meals.

City Barbeque will commemorate Veterans Day by treating veterans and troops to a meal. All day on Sunday, November 11, all veterans and US military will receive a free sandwich, two sides and a regular beverage, applicable on either dine-in or carryout orders at every City Barbeque location.

Gold Star Chili is offering a complimentary 3-Way chili and drink to all active duty military and veterans with documentation of military service. The offer is good for classic or vegetarian chili 3-Ways.

Joella’s Hot Chicken is honoring vets with a complimentary meal consisting of two free chicken tenders, a side, dipping sauce and a drink. Veterans and active military personnel can show their military ID or be in uniform to receive the free meal.

White Castle is recognizing Veterans Day by offering free combo meals. Past and current members of the U.S. military can choose between any of the combos #1 – 6 or any Breakfast Combo Meal on Sunday, November 11, or Monday, November 12.

Veterans who eat at Bonefish Grill will be eligible for a free order of Bang Bang Shrimp on Sunday. A valid military ID is required for the free appetizer.

Red Robin is offering all veterans and active duty military members a FREE Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day, Sunday November 11.
