Golden Alert canceled for missing Madison County man

Knue was last seen in the Curtis Pike area Madison County on Tuesday.

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - A Golden Alert has been canceled for a missing Madison County man.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office was looking for Nicholas George Knue. According to deputies, Knue went missing on Aug. 20 around 4 p.m.

Deputies said Knue was found safe about an hour after the Golden Alert was issued early Friday morning.

Deputies were particularly worried about Knue because he requires medication for seizures and was reported to be in "a distraught state of mind".
