LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A crash damaged a Lexington apartment Friday morning.

It happened around 1:30 at Centre Parkway and River Park Drive.

Neighbors said they heard a loud noise and came outside to see a van partially in the building. The driver was nowhere to be found.

"I heard the crash and I ran over immediately and I thought that I heard dripping from the radiator or from the engine or whatnot and I thought that was going to be a big issue so I made sure that no one was in the vehicle at all," said neighbor Adonte Blake.

It was a few minutes later when the driver came back to the scene, and, according to neighbors, had his hands raised and was saying, "I did it."

Lexington police arrived and charged the driver, Barry C. Hall, with DUI.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters said those living on the front side of the building weren't allowed to stay in their homes overnight.
