Two tropical systems and a potent cold front are are shaking up the weather world.

We have been hinting at this pattern flip since last week. Now, we are less than a day away from the change. Today, will still look a lot like Summer. You will find highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. A strong southerly breeze will keep it humid. Scattered showers & storms will develop again during the afternoon and evening hours. This forecast is action-packed!

Hurricane Michael

All indications suggest that this will come ashore as a major hurricane. The biggest threats will be the storm surge and wind. Florence produced tremendous rains. This one will have a lot of rain with it, but it will be a quick mover. This will help keep it from dumping extreme amounts of rain over the same locations.

Major Fall Front

This front will sweep across Kentucky and help to deflect Michael. It drives it back of the east coast of the United States. This happens pretty quickly. It looks like it only spends, roughly, a day and a half inland. So after it makes landfall, it will move through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina during that time. This front is packing a significantly colder airmass. Daytime highs will fall from 80 this afternoon to 60-65 on Thursday. That's not all, highs might hover around the mid 50s on Friday. Throw in some upper 30s and we have our selves a solid cold shot!

A pipeline of moisture from the Pacific will likely enter Kentucky this weekend. The remnants of Sergio look to pass right over Kentucky on Sunday. It should keep things extremely cool and very damp for the end of the weekend. Following it will be another huge push of chilly air. The second in less than a week. It will be this shot that could bring our first frost.

Hold on for all of the changes!
