LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The front that brings the change of the season starts pressing in today. Out ahead of it you will find temperatures in the 50s and I think we see even more 60s. Winds will become a little gusty with those numbers pushing in around 25-30 MPH. The front will likely bring showers in later this evening/tonight.
It looks like rain will be moving through the region tomorrow too. This is when the front will bring temperatures down all day. You will see highs run around the 50s again, but the colder air will be plowing across Kentucky! By early on Wednesday morning, temps will be around the freezing mark. I expect them to stay there through the day. There could be a few flakes of snow flying out there. Especially, for the folks in eastern Kentucky.
Thursday morning could feature actual lows in the upper teens. When the winds are considered, it will feel more like the mid teens. We have plenty of cold air in place for the end of the week. There is a system that is trying to show up on some of the data. It could bring us a snow-maker for the end of the week and this weekend. This is our system to watch very closely!
