LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - I think that we will make it to Thursday before things change. That's when we will see a system make a run at the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The next couple of days will be chilly. Highs will run around the freezing mark today & tomorrow.
Out ahead of another system we will track daytime highs around 40-45 on Wednesday. This quick spike in temperatures will give us a little relief. A well deserved break after this cold, snowy and nasty streak. A front will push in on Thursday to bring us another round of just rain. Those temperatures will still be running high. There is a solid chance that we have some 50s sneak in again before the rain picks up on Thursday evening. Temps will take a little tumble for Friday.
Once again, I am eyeing a weekend for snow potential. A round of rain and snow will set sail towards Kentucky on Saturday. Again, out in front of the system we will find highs in the 40s. As the cold air takes over, the snow will begin flying. We are still a long way out for this, but you might want to pay extra close attention to to what might come for the weekend.
