BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lee County man is behind bars after reportedly opening fire on deputies during a pursuit Friday night.
Kentucky State Police say they were contacted by Kentucky Fish & Wildlife around 11:00 p.m. to investigate the incident.
Troopers say that a Lee County deputy had attempted to pull over 43-year-old Keith Bradley on a traffic violation. Rather than stopping, investigators say Bradley began leading the deputy on a chase, while firing several gunshots at his pursuers.
Bradley reportedly got onto Butler Ridge Road, where he attempted to hit Fish & Wildlife officers with his vehicle. The officers returned fire, after which Bradley crashed into a garage.
He was taken into custody and taken to the Three Forks Regional Jail, where he is charged with wanton endangerment of a police officer, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fleeing and evading, terroristic threatening, possession of methamphetamine, and various traffic violations.
