LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky State Police say a chase on Lexington’s Newtown Pike ended in a vehicle crash and an arrest.

David King is behind bars, facing charges of fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and reckless driving among others.

Troopers say when they made contact with King, who had multiple warrants out for his arrest near a gas station in Midway Wednesday, he fled and police followed.

After evading police on Interstate I-64 King exited onto Newtown Pike, where he attempted a sharp turn and subsequently went over the median and struck another vehicle, according to police.

After the crash, he tried to flee on foot, but was arrested a few hundred feet from the site of the crash, according to police.

None of the parties involved in the crash sustained any injuries, according to police.
