KSP: body of Ohio woman found in Lake Cumberland

Kentucky State Police have found the body of a missing Ohio woman who was last seen at Lake Cumberland on Saturday.

Troopers say Wendy Augustine, 52, of West Chester, Ohio was last seen on a houseboat at the Lake Cumberland State Dock around 12:40AM CST on Saturday.

Troopers say the Boone County dive team and the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife helped search the lake on Sunday. Augustine's body was found Sunday around 5:00p.m. CST. State Police say family members identified her body.

Augustine's family released a statement on Sunday evening.

Officers from the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife will be investigating her death.
