Enes Kanter says the Turkish government has arrested his father.
Turkish officials issued an arrest warrant for Kanter last month. Kanter, a vocal critic of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, was detained in Romania on May 20 when authorities learned his Turkish passport had been revoked
On Friday, Kanter tweeted about the arrest of his father and said that "he is potentially to get tortured as thousand others." In the tweet, he also referred to the president as the "Hitler of our century."
Kanter released a full statement on Friday afternoon.
