WASHINGTON (WKYT) - Several Kentuckians were on hand for President Trump's swearing-in. WKYT's Sam Dick caught up with some of them.

"It was excellent. President Trumps speech, it was from the heart, it was sincere, it was to the point, it was excellent. It was very good, it was great to be a part of it also," said Dr. Harry Conn, from London, Ky. "I've been looking forward to it. I'm a 30-year retired Army, US Army Sgt Major. I taught at Danville High School for 10 years, and it's just great to get out here."

"[Trump is] the first person I've ever believed in, that I felt like that gave me a voice, that spoke for me, I do believe in what he says, I do believe he will make America great again," said Russ Hensley, from Frankfort. "I've believed in him. It was a very emotional day for me. A very inspirational day."

"It will be a great day today," said Jim Demler. "He's a man of great courage and great intelligence and we're so excited to see him take those first steps and make America great again."

"We're sad we haven't been here a week before to enjoy more of it," said Kathy Demler. "We're worried we've only got three more days. It's been really exciting and we're happy about being here today."
