LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - On Saturday more than 175 authors gathered at the Kentucky Horse Park for the 36th Kentucky Book Fair.
This was the first year the event was held in Lexington. Previous fairs took place in Frankfort.
Authors say the chance to meet fans and fellow authors makes the event a must attend.
"I’m just so glad there is such a concerted effort in this great commonwealth to bring this great literature and learning," said author Kelli Carmean.
On Friday the fair held Kid's Day with events for hundreds of children.
