Kentucky UPS driver arrested for DUI after driving nearly four times the legal limit

MIDDLETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky UPS driver is facing a DUI charge after police say he admitted to drinking a "half pint of whiskey" on the day he was working.

WDRB, citing an arrest report, said Matthew Caskey showed up to one of his regular stops at Middletown Elementary School Monday, and a school employee called police because he smelled of alcohol.

The report says Caskey was speeding and nearly ran into a raised curb before police pulled him over.

Caskey had slurred speech and tired, red eyes and admitted to drinking the large amount of whiskey. He would fail a sobriety test and blow a 0.316 on a breath test. He was also found with a small bottle of Fireball and a mostly-full bottle of Early Times. There were also empty bottles in his lunch box.

UPS released a statement saying Caskey has been removed from service.
