Kentucky man accused of holding wife, daughter hostage

BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police have arrested a man after troopers say he held his wife and daughter hostage.

Troopers arrested Tommy Thrasher, 49, of Burkesville Monday, hours they received the hostage report.

The wife and daughter were able to leave the home when deputies arrived. Both are safe.

Thrasher was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree terroristic threatening and menacing. He remains in the Adair Regional Jail without bond.

CORRECTION: This report previously stated the two suspected hostages were in the home for a lengthy period. This story is revised to say the two were able to leave the home safely when deputies arrived.
