Kentucky woman sentenced for shooting boyfriend over thermostat setting

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. (WKYT) - A judge handed down a 15-year sentence for a woman who shot her boyfriend, over a thermostat setting.

The shooting happened in 2018.

Candy Moss, of Smiths Grove, admitted to shooting the man and trying to tend to his wounds before police arrived.

Moss pleaded guilty to assault and evidence tampering.

She'll have to serve 85-percent of her sentence before she's eligible for parole.
