Hundreds of people, including a Republican presidential candidate, are scheduled to hold a rally to support incarcerated Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis.

Former Arkansas governor and current Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is expected to attend the rally.

Monday, Davis' attorneys filed an emergency motion to the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. The filing asked Governor Steve Beshear to accommodate Davis' religious conviction and not make her issue licenses to same-sex couples.

That same day, several dozen Davis supporters showed up outside Judge David Bunning's Campbell County home, calling him a tyrant for sending Davis to jail.

"If you can't show us a law she's broken, then free Kim Davis," said Cal Zastrow, one of the protesters.

Several neighbors who live on the street told WKYT that they think the protesters went too far; and breached the judge's privacy.

Protesters, however, say they made their point, and their work is not complete while Davis remains in jail.

Tuesday, five schools near the Carter County Jail where Davis is being held are expected to be closed.

Carter County school leaders decided to close the schools because of the expected increase in traffic.

East Carter High School; East Carter Middle School; and Pritchard, Heritage, and Star Elementary Schools are expected to be closed Tuesday.
