Knott County rockslide shuts down lanes of Highway 80

HINDMAN, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) – Eastbound lanes of Highway 80 in Knott County are closed after a rockslide in the Soft Shell area.

According to sister-station WYMT, the rockslide happened just after 9 a.m.

Traffic is being redirected into the westbound lanes.

The Transportation Department is responding to the area.

No word at this time how long the lanes will remain closed.
