Lexington Police investigating drive-by shooting that left one injured

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for the person responsible for a drive-by shooting in Lexington.

It happened around 11:30 Wednesday night on Daniel Court.

Police say the victim, a man in his 30's, was walking on the sidewalk when a white car pulled up beside him. The victim said whoever was inside starting firing a gun.

One bullet hit the victim in the hand. Police say he is expected to be okay.

He didn't get a good look at the shooter, but told police it was random.

This act of violence comes just days after a rash of shootings in Lexington. From Saturday to Monday, seven shootings were reported in the city. One of those was deadly.
