As the buzzer signaled the Kentucky Wildcats are Elite Eight bound, hundreds of students flooded onto State Street early Saturday morning.

Lexington Police told WKYT that two people ended up being taken to a hospital because of minor injuries and one person had been arrested.

Ahead of the celebrations, police shut down State Street and University Avenue at Nicholasville Road as the Sweet Sixteen game ended. They also closed Elizabeth Street between Waller Avenue and Conn Terrace and blocked Crescent Avenue at Waller.
