A grand jury has indicted Sgt. Christopher Morrow for rape. On Friday, he entered a not guilty plea to the charge during a hearing in Fayette Circuit Court.

Investigators say the alleged crime happened back in March.

Someone filed a complaint against Sgt. Morrow in May of this year. The Lexington Police department forwarded that complaint to Kentucky State Police for further investigation.

State Police confirmed their Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch is handling the inquiry. Lexington Police's Public Integrity Unit also looked into the complaint.

Morrow is due back in court on December 6 for a pre-trial hearing. The judge ordered Murrow not to have contact with the victim.
