LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Callie Day, a pharmacy technician at a Lexington Walmart loves to sing, but has never been able to do it full-time. Soon that might all change after a hit viral video was released of her singing.

Callie was featured in an national, online Walmart ad for her charisma and vocal abilities, but a simple Facebook video post is what is making waves on the internet.

The video is gaining Callie praise. It has more than 2.5 millions views and it has received shout outs from celebrities such as American Idol alum Fantasia and well known gospel singer, Kim Burrell.

We rehearsed tonight in preparation for tomorrow's Festival of Spirituals at Berea College and this video of Callie Day...

"I was doing them quick runs like Callie Day. Have you all heard of Callie Day? Callie day is the truth and a half," Burrell said.

Callie was surprised her video went viral.

"I was asleep when I got all these pings. Everybody's like Fantasia just...I'm like, uh, what? What are you talking about," Day said

Callie is currently fundraising in hopes to finish production on her first album. She told WKYT her goal is to one day be able take care of her friends and family.

Day said he favorite song in "Hear My Prayer" by Moses Hogan. It's the same song she was singing in her viral video.

"You know I've gotten plenty of emails you know telling me that song has blessed me so they were thinking about committing suicide and they were just saying I just kept playing hear my prayer over and over and over," Day said.

She will sing at Mimi's Soul Food on May 22nd. You can click here to donate to her Gofundme page.
