Pothole repair causes major traffic backup on I-75 in Madison County

MADISON Co., Ky. (WKYT) - Road work caused backups on Interstate 75 in Madison County Thursday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet was repairing potholes in the northbound lanes between mile point 80 to the Madison/Fayette County line.

The work caused delays for people driving into Lexington from Richmond.

Just before 6 a.m., WKYT's Live Drive Traffic maps showed there was also an accident in the northbound lanes near the Boonesborough exit at mile marker 95.
