Man arrested after standoff with Lexington Police

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police say a man was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment Saturday night after a standoff situation.

Police were called to the Augusta Court area around 7:30 p.m. with reports of shots fired in the area. Police say there was a verbal disorder between Javier Martinez Bohorquez and his wife.

Officers say when they first arrived they tried to get his wife and children to leave the home but were unable.

Eventually, Bohorquez's family was able to exit. We're told Bohorquez didn't walk out until around 10 p.m.

Bohorquez is charged with five counts of wanton endangerment.
