University of Kentucky defensive back Marcus Walker is no longer on the football team following his drug trafficking arrest.
UK released a statement confirming coach Mark Stoops' decision to dismiss Walker Tuesday. The university is not offering any additional comments.
Walker was charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine, along with a paraphernalia charge Thursday. Walker's arrest citation says he was possessing an estimated five pounds of marijuana and an ounce of cocaine. Police also found a large amount of cash and a cash counter when executing a search warrant.
Walker pleaded not guilty to the charges in court.
Walker has seen limited playing time as a Wildcat. He played in 12 games during the 2017 season, making five tackles.
He was a three-star safety out of high school from Lake Wales, Florida.
