MONTGOMERY Co., Ky. (WKYT) - Fire crews in Montgomery County responded to a large house fire around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say the home on Whitaker Lane was destroyed.
No one was inside at the time, but someone does partially live there. The fire chief says they only lost a few personal items.
Firefighters say finding the owner was easy, but stopping the flames was a different story.
"The water issue, we had to go a couple miles up the road to get to water and that's always an issue in rural parts of the county," Fire Chief Robin Barber said.
No one was hurt, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. People driving through the Camargo Road and Whitaker Lane areas are encouraged to drive slow.
