Another Lexington retailer is limiting sales of tobacco products.
Signs could be seen Wednesday inside the Meijer in Hamburg, saying that tobacco products will no longer be sold in stores. Instead they will now only be sold at the Meijer gas station.
A spokesperson for Meijer told WKYT that the move is part of a change that has been occurring at most Meijer stores over the past year, in order to free up space for more items in the front of the store.
Target became the first major retailer in Lexington to end tobacco sales in 1996.
CVS Pharmacies ended tobacco sales in 2014.
