MT. STERLING, Ky. (WKYT) - A family was rushed to the hospital after their Montgomery County home caught fire.
The fire started around 12:30 Thursday morning on Foster Branch Road.
Firefighters said two adults and two children managed to escape from the burning home. One of the adults was flown to UK Hospital. The three others were taken to the Lexington hospital by ambulance. All four were treated for smoke inhalation.
Investigators aren't sure how the fire started.
"We haven't really had a chance to interview or speak with the residents about that because of their injuries and seeking treatment," said Montgomery County Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeffery Jackson.
Jackson said the home is a total loss.
