MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police responded to several accidents on I-75 in Madison County.

"It's the first snow here so people are not being cautious," Jessica Brown said. She was involved in one of the crashes.

State Police say multiple roadways in the Post 7 area are snow covered and slick, including I-75. Troopers responded to calls of several collisions on the interstate near Berea.

"If you don't have 4-wheel drive stay away. If you can't drive in snow just stay home for the day."

The wintry weather caused other problems for drivers as well.

"There was precipitation on my windshield that was kind of freezing, and when my windshield wipers would go across my window, there was a lot of grime," said Donna Lorcher. "Tried to wash it off and it just seemed to kind of freeze."

Snow started falling again around 4:30 p.m. in Madison County. State Police are advising drivers to slow down and buckle up.
