FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reporting a four-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 64 in Franklin County.

The crash happened near the 53 mile marker.
Three people were been reported injured, two of them seriously. Kentucky State Police have confirmed one person was taken to UK Hospital, and two others were taken to Frankfort Regional.
A Kentucky State Trooper confirms that one of the people injured has died.
According to Kentucky State Police, two vehicles were in the crash to start with, but additional vehicles became involved when a person attempted to help the people in the initial collision.
Authorities say that scene at mile marker 53 is clear.
Reconstruction crews are working to determine the cause of the crash.
Kentucky State Police are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to contact them at Post 12.
