SPARTA, Ky. (WKYT)- NASCAR returns to Kentucky on Saturday for the Quaker State 400.

This will likely be the last opportunity for racing fans to see Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in Kentucky due to his upcoming retirement at the end of the season. Earnhardt says he's trying to do his best to relax and enjoy his final season, even if that's not easy.

"I'm already mid-season. I'm back to mid-season for with my attitude and you can't help it when you want to do well. I want to do as well this weekend as I did at this track six years ago."

Jr. needs a good finish Saturday night as he makes a run at the playoffs.

The 267 lap race starts tomorrow at 7:30.

Governor, Matt Bevin will serve as the honorary pace car driver.
