New York Mets draft Ryan Shinn in 34rd round of MLB Draft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- With pick No. 1018 in the 34th round of the MLB Draft, the New York Mets drafted former Kentucky slugger Ryan Shinn.

The senior finished 2019 with a .286 batting average and was the only Wildcat to start in all 55 games. He led the team in hits (57), doubles (17), runs (49), and home runs (13) this season.
