On June 3rd, emergency crews transported an officer with the Nicholasville Police Department for possible exposure to Carfentanyl.

This officer helped with the arrests of two male subjects for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. When the officer was leaving the jail, he began vomiting and feeling light headed.

One of the suspects arrested had told officers that it was either Fentanyl or Carfentanyl. With this information, EMS transported the officer to the hospital where doctors treated and released him about six hours later. The officer never lost consciousness and was back to work the next day.
