Ohio Attorney General to help pay for the funerals of Rhoden family

PIKETON, Oh. (WLKY) - The Ohio Attorney General has approved more than $20,000 to help pay for the funerals of three of the eight members of the Rhoden family.

Seven adults and a teenager were found dead in April near Piketon, Ohio.

The state’s Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program approved the maximum amount of $7,500 for funeral costs for 20-year-old Frankie Rhoden, Hanna Rhoden and 16-year-old Christopher Rhoden Jr.

The state already paid about $7,300 to help cover other funeral costs.

The April 22 killings remain unsolved.
