One person has died and multiple people were sent to the hospital after a crash in McCracken County involving an ambulance.

The crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and South 28th Streets. According to KFVS an ambulance that had activated its sirens and lights was attempting to cross the intersection when it collided with a Chevrolet Malibu that hadn’t stopped. The 76-year-old driver of the Malibu reportedly told officials he didn’t see or hear the ambulance.

That driver, along with three passengers, were taken to the hospital. One of the passengers was later flown to Nashville for additional treatment.

No injuries were reported in the ambulance.
