FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Interstate 64 is back open following a semi crash in Franklin County.
Officers say around 1:20 a.m. a semi lost its left front steering tire.
It then lost control and went into a guardrail. The driver is okay.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the semi was overturned in the eastbound lanes near the 55-mile marker, between the two exits to Frankfort.
The semi was hauling 31,000 pounds of empty bourbon barrels.
While Frankfort police were directing traffic, they say a car ran into the back of a cruiser.
Both the officer and driver of the car are okay.
The cruiser was towed from the scene. There is no word on if charges will be filed.
Officers were able to reopen the interstate just before 7 a.m.
