Interstate 64 and the Mountain Parkway are back open in Clark County after a coal truck crash caused a huge mess late Tuesday night.

Eastbound lanes of I-64 at the Mountain Parkway were closed down for around seven hours.

Westbound lanes of the Mountain Parkway were closed at mile marker 10 for approximately 11 hours.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. when a truck jumped an I-64 overpass guardrail while on the parkway. The wreck left the truck dangling over the interstate.

Coal and diesel fuel spilled everywhere.

Eastbound lanes were blocked exit 96/Paris Road because of the spilled coal. Westbound lanes of I-64 weren't impacted.

Officials with the Clark County Fire Department says there is damage to the overpass, but vehicles will be allowed to travel over it.

The driver of the truck is not hurt. No word yet on what caused the wreck.
