LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say two people were shot Monday afternoon at a Lexington bar.
Officers responded to the scene of Uncle 7s Bar & Grill on Delzan Place around 4 p.m. One victim was found hiding in a bathroom while another person was hit in the back.
Police say they have arrested one person in connection to the shooting. The owner of the bar says that man was Larry Walters, who was in his bar today.
Walters was arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault and wanton endangerment Monday afternoon, according to jail records.
"At that time we don't know what his mental state was so we don't know who else, if anybody, would be in danger," Sgt. Scott May said. "Hopefully he didn't have any other plans to injure anybody but by making this quick apprehension we ended any possibility of any further violence."
The bar is located off Clays Mill Road in between New Circle Road and Man o' War Boulevard.
The victims are expected to survive their injuries.
