Lexington Police have charged three people in connection to a kidnapping and beating.
Zachary Costin, 21, and Ethan Hatfield, 20, face kidnapping, robbery and assault charges.
The arrest citations for Zachary Costin and Ethan Hatfield identify both suspects as students at the University of Kentucky. Costin and Hatfield made their first court appearance Thursday.
A third suspect, identified by police as John Cooper, was arrested on Thursday and is charged with kidnapping and robbery. Cooper is expected in court Friday.
Police say the suspects kidnapped a 22-year-old man on February 28 at a home on McAtee Lane.
According to court documents, police said the two men hit the victim with a gun and a hammer while they threatened to kill the victim's family.
After two hours, the victim was released, but naked, police said.
