LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman who was hired to care for a 98-year-old woman is accused of paying herself roughly double the amount she was owed for her services.
Lisa Moffett began caring for the victim at the beginning of 2017, her arrest papers indicated.
The victim had blank checks that Moffett was to write for the her services, but she began to overpay herself beginning in October, her arrest warrant alleges.
Bank records showed several checks for more than $1,000, the warrant said.
Moffett was owed around $4,700 for her services, but paid herself around $10,100, her arrest papers indicate.
She faces a charge of knowingly exploiting an adult.
