Police investigating shooting in Grant County

CRITTENDEN, Ky. (WKYT) - UPDATE: (3/6/2018, 8 p.m.):

Kentucky State Police have identified the suspect in a shooting that left a man injured over the weekend.

Troopers say Matthew Paul Reusch, 19, from Ludlow, is thought to be armed and dangerous.

Reusch is described as 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds.

Kentucky State Police are investigating after a person was shot on the side of U.S. 25 near Violet Road in Crittenden.

Troopers say someone called 911 around 9 p.m. Friday saying they heard gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they found blood and shell casings on the road and immediately closed the roadway down.

Officials say they then found out that someone had been shot and drove himself to a hospital. CBS affiliate WKRC reports the victim is expected to survive.

Troopers say their initial investigation shows that a verbal altercation had occurred between several people.

After the altercation, two individuals went back to their car and began to drive away, when someone fired shots out of the window of the car back at the group that was on the side of US 25.

Police say the vehicle is believed to be a white 4-door Toyota Camry and could possibly have bullet holes in the back of it.
