Police make arrest in heist at Taylor County gun store

Big Al's Guns LLC says tips from the public helped police track down suspects in a theft from their store.
The burglary happened on Saturday morning. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect who had his face partially covered. The man smashed the glass in display cases to take guns and also grabbed them from shelves. In all, McDonald says the thief stole 20 handguns, three rifles, and two shotguns, as well as a few boxes of ammunition.
Big Al's offered $2,000 in store credit or $1,000 cash for information that led to an arrest and conviction in the case.
On Thursday, the store posted on its Facebook page that the Taylor County Sheriff's Department made an arrest in the case. According to
police charged Erik Sanders for the crime. Sanders is in the Taylor County Detention Center charged with burglary.
