1 injured, thousands without power from high winds in Lincoln, Boyle counties

STANFORD, Ky. (WKYT) - Thousands of customers in the northwest portion of Lincoln County, and around Danville and Junction City in Boyle County dealt with power outages Thursday.

According to a Facebook post from Lincoln County Emergency Management, Kentucky Utilities reported more than 1,400 customers without electricity, while Inter County Energy reported more than 1,700.

Lincoln County EMA expected power to be restored by 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, Boyle County Emergency Management said around 2,100 KU customers around the county were without power at one point, including Boyle County High School. High winds were cited as causing the outages. Much of that power has been restored.

A tree fell on a woman in Danville at Jackson Park. She was taken to the hospital with broken bones.
